Description
Sheet metal shear is designed for manual cutting of thin sheet metal. Industrial HS-52 Manual Guillotine Shear. Made to cut various material sheets up to 52″ wide. This guillotine shear is suitable for cutting metal (up to 16 Gauge), plastic, paper, and other materials.
Very light guillotine model, easy in operation and transportation. Could be mounted in line with other processing machines as entrance or exit shear for cut to length.
Must be fastened to surface for best performance.

What to check on a used shear
- Cut a test strip across the full blade length and check it for squareness and burr.
- Inspect both blade edges for chips, dullness and how many times they have been rotated.
- Check the blade gap setting and the gibs for even clearance end to end.
- Test the hold-downs, treadle return spring or clutch and brake on powered shears.
- Confirm the backgauge, squaring arm and front support arms are present and straight.
- Verify voltage and phase on powered units and the floor space the machine needs.
