Used Metal Roofing Machines is a classified marketplace, not a dealer. Sellers list their own machines, buyers contact them directly, and the two of you settle price, inspection, payment and shipping between yourselves. Here is what happens on each side.
For buyers
1. Find the machine
Search from the home page or browse all machines, an equipment type or a brand. Filters narrow by condition, power, state, price and year, and you can sort by newest, price or year. Listings show in-stock and pending machines by default; switch the availability filter to see sold machines and what they went for.
2. Save and compare
Click save on any listing to add it to your saved machines. The list is stored in your browser, so there is no account to create and nothing to log in to; it is only on the device you used. Open the saved page to compare price, year, location and tooling side by side.
3. Contact the seller
Use the contact form on the listing. Your message goes to the seller’s email with your name, email and phone as the reply-to, and we keep a copy only to count messages and stop spam. The seller answers you directly. Ask for the serial number, hour meter, included tooling and whether you can inspect under power; our inspection checklist lists the rest.
4. Inspect, pay and ship
Inspect the machine or hire someone to. Agree the price and what is included in writing, run a lien check on anything financed, and pay the seller in a way you can trace. We do not hold money, run escrow or arrange freight; if you want to finance, read the financing page and get the seller’s quote in writing first.
For sellers
1. Create a free account
Register with your email, a password, your company name and an optional phone number, then click the verification link we send. The link is good for 24 hours. You can choose whether your phone number shows on your listings.
2. Submit a listing
From your account, submit a machine with up to twelve photos, the type, brand, model, year, price, condition, power, location, tooling, hours and a description, or post a short classified ad. New listings are held for review and usually published within one business day; after your first two approved listings, new ones publish immediately. The selling guide covers photos, pricing and shipping notes.
3. Answer buyers
Buyer messages arrive in your inbox with the buyer’s contact details. Reply from your own email. Your address is never shown on the site.
4. Update and mark sold
Edit the listing any time, mark it pending while a buyer inspects, and mark it sold when the money clears. Sold listings stay online with a sold banner and stop accepting messages.
What we do and do not do
- We review listings for accuracy and relevance, remove listings that break the rules, and block spam.
- We do not inspect machines, verify sellers’ claims, guarantee condition or title, or take part in the sale.
- We charge no listing fee and no commission. Any paid placement in the future will be labeled as such.
- We publish guides with verified prices so both sides start from the same numbers.
