What to check on a used cnc folder

• Fold a 24-gauge test piece the full length and check that the angle is the same at both ends.
• Sight down the clamping and bending beams for straightness and look for crowning repairs.
• Inspect the tooling edges for nicks, chips and uneven wear, and note which segments are included.
• Check the backgauge for play, limit switch function and repeatability over several moves.
• Confirm the control model, software version, and whether the manufacturer still supports it.
• Verify the power requirement and the machine's footprint and weight before you plan the move.
