New & Used Roll Formers for Sale
Roll formers turn flat coil into finished metal roofing and wall panels by pulling the strip through a line of forming stations. The listings here cover portable roof panel machines from New Tech Machinery, Englert, Zimmerman and StanGroup, mini roll formers for 1-inch standing seam, and in-plant lines from HRF and Huachen that run PBR, AG panel, floor deck and purlins.Portable machines are the backbone of the standing seam trade. A trailer-mounted unit such as an NTM SSQ II or SSH lets a crew run panels to exact length at the job, which cuts freight damage and lets you quote a roof straight from coil. In-plant machines run faster and wider, but they need three-phase power, floor space and a forklift to load coil.Used roll formers hold their value because the expensive part is the tooling. A profile set that cost the first owner ten to twenty thousand dollars new travels with the machine, so always confirm which profiles, rib rollers, shear dies and controller are included before you compare two asking prices. Every listing on this site shows price, year, location, power pack and tooling up front.Shipping is the other big number. A hydraulic portable on its trailer weighs roughly 4,600 to 6,500 lb depending on model and options, so plan on a three-quarter-ton or one-ton truck with a brake controller, or budget flatbed freight. Our inspection checklist and price guide walk through what to check and what to pay.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a used portable roll former cost?
It depends on class and tooling. Public listings in 2025 and 2026 put three-to-four-year-old NTM SSQ II machines at $85,000 to $99,500, while an entry-level NTM SSR MultiPro Jr. starts at $44,900 new before the trailer. A 2025 WUKO Master 1-inch machine with low hours was offered at $39,900. Our price guide breaks this down by machine class.
Can I run a used roll former from a generator?
A gas power pack needs no hookup at all. Electric packs need 220 V single-phase or three-phase power; for example, NTM lists its 5 HP single-phase option at 20 amps and the 7.5 HP three-phase option at 18 amps. Size the generator to the manufacturer’s amperage, not the motor horsepower.
Does the factory warranty transfer to a second owner?
Usually not. Manufacturer warranties such as NTM’s three-year parts and in-house labor coverage are written for the original buyer, so treat a used machine as sold as-is unless the seller gives you something in writing. Ask the maker about parts support, especially for discontinued models such as the SSQ II, which New Tech Machinery discontinued on September 30, 2026.
